<smaller><smaller><smaller><smaller><smaller>Meeting every Monday night at=
 9pm in Kaffe Moka
on South William Street, Unpublished Rhyme is an
Open Mic. reading group that welcomes both novice
and experienced writers to share their work and
listen to others in a relaxed atmosphere. Continuing
on from the New Irish Writers Movement, set up by
Sean Clifford, we have been running since the June
of 1998. </flushboth>

<paraindent><param>out</param><flushboth>Unpublished Rhyme is a forum for =
the
promotion and benefit of both new and
established writers of poetry, short stories,
lyrics and other =91spoken word=92 performances.</paraindent></flushboth>

<paraindent><param>out</param><flushboth>By providing a relaxed and inform=
al setting in
Kaffe Moka=92s aptly named, second floor lounge,
known as the library, the evening is centred
around readings, coffee, tea, more readings and
a good deal of socialising between both
newcomers and regular participants.</paraindent></flushboth>

<paraindent><param>out</param><flushboth>Because of our practice of not of=
fering critique
or competitive sessions, we have been able to
encourage the less experienced writers to stand
up and read, often for the first time. This
application of the Open Mic. format has been
one of the hallmarks of our continuing
popularity and allows for a much wider range of
style, subject matter and performance to
flourish. It can be noted that most of our most
promising regulars began their =91career=92 through
these evenings.</paraindent></flushboth>

<paraindent><param>out</param><flushboth>As part of our development of the=
 group, we are
seeking to publicise this weekly event through
listings in all the popular magazines, as well as
inviting coverage of the evenings by interested
parties. Anna Livia Radio has already broadcast
selected highlights from one of our sessions in
December in their Literary Review programme.
A web-site is currently being developed as a
further platform for participants work and
again, this facility is open to all, free of charge.</paraindent></flushbo=
