Dear List,
There seems to be some confusion about the purpose of this list
which I'll attempt to clarify here.
Acornlive, to which your'e subscribed, is an e-mail discussion list.
E-mails sent to acornlive@dublinwriters.org will be sent to everyone
else on the list.
acornlive@dublinwriters.org is the default "reply to" address to all
messages sent to the list, hence if you hit "reply" when reading
this message, your reply will be sent to the group.

to do this, take the address in the "from" field of the message you
wish to respond to and put it in the "to" field of the message you
want to send only to the person who wrote.
Perhaps some of you on this list joined under the understanding
that this was our "announcement only" mailing list? If this is the
case, you can unsubscribe using the form at the URL in the footer
of this message and join the announcement list at
<http://www.dublinwriters.org/contact.html>
Or did you join knowing that this was a discussion list and then
were puzzled by its silence?
Guilty as charged, your honours. We set up the discus message
board and acornlive at the same time. While the former caught on
like wildfire, burgeoning into a fully fledged poetry and fiction
workshop, acornlive has sadly seen our neglect as Nessa and
myself hold down our day jobs!
Should any of you have a question, about John Banville for
example, or want to discuss any aspect of literature with the group.
Do feel free as that is what most people signed up to this list to do.
Did anyone see Dermot Bolger's "Passion of Jerome" at Dublin's
Peacock theatre recently or are familiar with his novels?
Similarly has anyone read "breakfast on Pluto" by Pat McCabe and
what did you think of Neil Jordan's film adaptation of McCabe's
"The Butcher Boy"?
I hope this e-mail clarifies things for you and that your'e on the right
list!
Thanking you,
Mark O'Sullivan
