Hi Cait

The competitions section is sadly dated - a symptom of our lack of 
staffing and being overstretched - but we've got some volunteers 
who are helping us out on that front - so hopefully soon it will be 
updated - but meanwhile many of the addressess and closing 
dates remain the same from year to year.

You asked about the Francis McManus awards - the closing date 
for the 1999 competition has just been announced - 1st October - 
there's a prize fund of £4,000 and you can get more details from 
Franc MacManus Awards, RTE Radio 1, dublin 4 - there isn't an 
email address - the mailing address for George Bermingham 
remains the same - I haven't heard about the third one you mention.
