Ah sure and wouldn't I be tellin' a lie on meself if I didna tell ye I were
in the jakes of america and not so much the snakes? Although with a few
pints taken I did see the snakes once. Seems I can't light the fag without
rasin' the cry from some foriegn tribe or oother that don't like the smoke
I'm after blowin'. Nah dah great ting about yer average sweet Yank is that
he's always from somewhere else. Ye can't swing a cat by the tail in the
States without hittin' an Eyetalian or yer Frenchman or yer Swede, but damn
if ye can ever find a feller what calls 'imself an american (unless ye say
the unkind word).
Always blubbin' about how Oirish they are too! Always askin' after the
Troobles. 'Tis safer anywhere in da Nort dan on dah nort soid o' new york,
says Oi. Got me boorgers though.
I tot the Guv. was whistling Dixie so's I dinna make too much sport 'im.
Wid da drink in me, Chris, I am a most non-contentious lad. Today I've the
terrible droi troat.
Regards,
Liam
