Hi Jess,
Ah it is nice to see one who admires such a wonderfully cosy and old-
world shop as the winding stair at the halfpenny bridge. I myself love
the place. It provides a fabulous selection of books.
I am interested in corresponding as you are obviously serious about
your writing if you have as you say 'your heart set' on doing the M.
Phil at Trinity. Unfortunately I don't know an awful lot about it. I do
know that Claire Keegan, one of the contemporary Irish writers who I
greatly admire did this very course, and if her collection 'Antarctica'
is anything to go by, it was well worth while! I am at present
investigating details regarding a home study course, in which you can
get anything u to an honours diploma in creative writing. The web
address is as follows :www.home-study.com It is run by the London
School of journalism. Anyway, you can look it up, it might be of
interest.
Please feel free to e me @ Tanyaf@dol.ie, or at the acorn live address.

Tanya.
