Dear Chris, Liam et al
here (in Dublin) it's just damp and miserable, after flirting for one
whole day with crisp coldness.
Can the strong silent one (ahem, first time I've ever been called that
- can't even unscrew the top off a jam jar myself) clarify one thing
about sending poems to this list, as opposed to Electric Acorn.
When you send poems to acornlive@dublinwriters.org, you are
sending to the list, for comment. It's another way of getting
feedback, in the same way as posting a poem to the virtual
workshop over at http://www.dublinwriters.org/discus. But these
poems aren't automatically considered for Electric Acorn and when
I see someone posting work to the list, I never assume that they
want them included in EA.
The only way to submit poems to EA is to email them to
submissions@dublinwriters.org, where I see them. Now, as issue 9
as just gone online, and we are not due another until June 2001,
I'm not accepting submissions right now. But I would be delighted if
you all wanted to submit something from February onwards.
So Chris, please forgive any silence in response to your posting. I'd
be delighted if you resent them (or any others of your selection) to
me at submissions@dublinwriters.org in February.
With very warm wishes to my extended virtual family for the
holidays
Nessa O'Mahony
