 Hi Ailish,
Actually, the class, which was just a four session seminar, has
finished. It was taught by a fellow named Bill Dumbleton, a retired English
professor, specializing in Irish lit. It was a wonderful class, and we got
as far into it as four sessions would allow, looking at structure of
Anglo-Saxon poetry and so forth (alliterative use, meter, rhythm,etc.).
It really is a beautiful translation and one has to appreciate the
mind numbing work that went into it on Heaney's part. It seemed to breathe
new life into the poem.

                                                            Best,

                                                                    Marc
