Guardians and wards

Gargoyles 
Make the heart sturdy
Under silent auspices
Of their mighty vigil

Countenance of blackguards
Countenance of virtuous heroes
Be in any guise
Pleasant and otherwise
Creatures of comfort
To their masters
Conversation sparking ornaments
Assurance of security
In mythical sense

Next to my gargoyle
I am strong
With my faithful ward
And servant
At my flank
Master of everything
Which the eye spies
This feeling
A gargoyle's robust presence
Emanates

Smite brattish spectres
Subdue personal devils
Which dwell within
